Join us for an empowering evening where guests will hear firsthand from three accomplished women CEOs. First Women’s Bank CEO Marianne Markowitz will provide opening remarks, followed by a fireside discussion with M.M. LaFleur CEO and Founder Sarah LaFleur, moderated by Altair Advisers CEO Beka Kohmescher.

Sarah will share her experience and perspective on building a premier women’s fashion brand, fostering a workplace culture that reflects a more diverse demographic, and addressing the evolving business landscape in which more decision-making is being led by women.

Following the presentation, guests will enjoy a cocktail reception, networking opportunities, styling sessions, and the chance to tour M.M.LaFleur’s new Gold Coast showroom.

Sarah LaFleur | CEO & Founder, M.M. LaFleur

Sarah LaFleur is the Founder & CEO of M.M. LaFleur. Sarah founded M.M. LaFleur in 2013 with a mission to help women take the work out of getting dressed, so they can focus on the work that matters to them. Prior to founding M.M. LaFleur, she worked at Bain & Co. in New York and TechnoServe in South Africa. Sarah sits on the Advisory Council of the New York Federal Reserve and is a board member of the Downtown Alliance of New York City. Most recently, she is a Henry Crown Fellow within the Aspen Global Leadership Network at the Aspen Institute. She graduated from Harvard University. M.M. LaFleur is named after her mother, whom she calls her biggest inspiration.

Beka Kohmescher | CEO, Altair Advisers

Rebekah “Beka” Kohmescher is CEO and a founding partner of Altair Advisers, where she leads the firm’s executive team and oversees its strategic direction and operations. After spending eight years advising clients directly on investment and financial planning matters, she went on to serve as Chief Operating Officer before becoming CEO. Beka is committed to fostering a collaborative, forward-thinking culture that enhances client service and team innovation. Prior to Altair, she was a consultant in Arthur Andersen’s Private Client Services practice and remains an active advocate for women in finance through her involvement with several nonprofit and civic organizations throughout the Chicago area.

Marianne Markowitz | CEO, First Women’s Bank

Marianne Markowitz is President and CEO of First Women’s Bank, the nation’s only bank strategically focused on supporting women’s economic growth and leadership. She previously served as Acting Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration and later led the national SBA program at CIBC. Earlier in her career, she held global finance and treasury leadership roles across the U.S., UK, and Switzerland and served as CFO for Obama for America. Marianne is a recognized civic and industry leader, serving on several boards and earning honors including Crain’s Woman of Note and the ATHENA Leadership Award.
